Under the name SándorFotó, I photograph for companies in Budapest and across Hungary. I take the photos and do the post-production myself, so from the shoot to the delivery of the last image, one person is responsible for the work: me.

I have been taking photos since I was young, and photography is still at the heart of my work. I started working as a graphic designer later, and I still design visual materials for companies alongside photography. The two professions are different, but they meet at one point: retouching and image correction are part of photography too. Setting colours, handling tones and deciding on the crop are part of my everyday work as a graphic designer as well. Several of my clients have told me that my photos have an artistic quality. I think this comes from my graphic designer’s eye: I pay the same attention to composition and light as I would in a design.
This has two practical consequences, and these two are why my clients come back to me.
The first: I process the photos myself after the shoot, so in post-production I know exactly what I wanted to show in each shot. This keeps the colours and tones of a series consistent, even when the photos are taken on several occasions over a longer period.
The second: as a graphic designer, I know what the photos will be used for. A website header, a LinkedIn post and a printed annual report each need a different crop and a different resolution. If I know in advance where a photo will go, I compose it at the shoot so that it can be adapted well to every format.
At events, I stay in the background: I move quietly, I do not get in the way of speakers or guests, and my appearance also suits the tone of the event. I make sure that not only the photos turn out well, but that the client and the guests also feel comfortable around me.
I speak fluent English, so I can coordinate directly with international teams without an interpreter, both during planning and on site.
These three principles apply to every assignment, whether it is an event or a portrait.
You tell me what matters and where I need to be. I plan the day and the photos around that. If I see a better solution for something, I will tell you, but the decision is yours.
I plan the day so that a programme running over does not cause you any trouble. An event cannot be repeated.
Retouching removes distracting details; it does not reshape the face. A portrait in which people do not recognise you is of no use.
I work with a Sony camera and bring the right lens for every situation:
For events, I bring several spare batteries and several memory cards, so a flat battery or a full card never stops the work.
My work focuses on two main areas: corporate events and business portraits. I have dedicated a separate page to each, where I describe in detail what I photograph, how the work goes and what photos you receive at the end.

Conferences, galas, award ceremonies, press events and corporate celebrations, following your schedule.

Individual portraits of executives and staff, consistent team photos and complete brand image series.
Most enquiries come from someone for whom this is just one item on today’s to-do list. I understand that, so I do not ask for a detailed brief up front. Just tell me what needs to be photographed, when and where, and roughly how many people are involved. If that is not enough for an accurate quote, I will only ask the most necessary questions. If you have a question before requesting a quote, feel free to call me.

Tell me when and where the shoot will be, and what the occasion is. That is usually enough for me to prepare a quote. Requesting a quote does not commit you to anything.
